Born in London, England, to loving Indian parents, Keaton grew up immersed in rock 'n' roll, punk, funk, soul, folk, indie, psych and prog. After relocating to Philadelphia, he pursued formal studies at Temple University, gaining deep versatility in composition, arranging, film scoring, and jazz drumming. His insatiable curiosity has led him across South America, India, and Europe, immersing himself in percussion traditions from African, Cuban, Brazilian, Indian and Colombian diasporas—textures and rhythms that now infuse his vibrant, boundary-pushing sound.

A multifaceted live performer, Keaton has toured the world as a multi-instrumentalist and vocalist, sharing stages with iconic artists such as Lady Wray, Michael Glabicki (of Rusted Root) and many others.
